What begins as a seed.

Winter has arrived! Since Monday we had 17 inches of snow. As much as I love the snow I do miss having 4 seasons. Seems like so often we jump from summer right to winter.
In October we were blessed to be in Oregon when our grandson Elias Paul was born to Danae and Jonathan. He had a rough start and was in NICU for 4 days. We praise The Lord he is fine now! He was born October 8 and weighed 9lbs 3oz.
We arrived back in Kejick Bay October 20th with clients scheduled for the 21st.
Bad weather kept the planes from flying so they didn't show. We were booked all the way to Christmas, so far we have had "no shows". This makes us ask what The Lord is doing. We had a young man that wanted to come for 30 days but after praying about it we felt like he really wasn't ready so Marvin told him no, not now. This very hard for Marvin to do as we have known this young man for a long time. He has stayed with us here and also at Stormer.
Please pray for a couple that is returning next week. They have also been to Stormer Lake for ministry. Something different needs to happen for them. For years I have quoted the verse..."so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."(Isaiah 55:11 NIV).Rightly so, I believe it, but The Lord has been showing us that everything starts as a seed. Jesus himself talks about the different kinds of soil that the seed falls on.
“What do you make of this? A farmer planted seed. As he scattered the seed, some of it fell on the road, and birds ate it. Some fell in the gravel; it sprouted quickly but didn’t put down roots, so when the sun came up it withered just as quickly. Some fell in the weeds; as it came up, it was strangled by the weeds. Some fell on good earth, and produced a harvest beyond his wildest dreams. “Are you listening to this? Really listening?” (Matthew 13:3-9 MSG)
We also heard that in bible times the plow followed the sower; the seed actually "attracted" the plow. So with that in mind would you pray with us for Holy Spirit to begin to soften their hearts? That we would be sensitive to Holy Spirit as to how to help them to prepare their heart to receive the word, receive His love so that real change would begin. Pray that we would truly believe that the plow of the Holy Spirit will prepare the soil of their hearts as only He can.
We started a 'cookie club' children's ministry the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Since we have kids coming to the door for cookies we decided that we should tell them about Jesus! The kids call us the "Bible people" who live at the "Bible house." I guess because the Bible school teams stay here. Last weekend a team of 6 from Thunder Bay came up and ran a 2 day 'cookie club roundup'.We had 40 kids both days even in the middle of a snowstorm the second day. On Wednesdays we have about 20 kids. There is a family that is with Believers Fellowship near Sioux Lookout who is helping us. Please pray for these children. A lot of them do not have a good home situation at all.
Thanks you so much for covering us in prayer. Pray that we would continue to worship, praise and pray even when we don't feel like it, especially when things seem heavy and dark. We know that as we worship (Isa 30:31,32) The Lord will fight our battles for us. Please pray as well that we would not to forget to sing His praises when things are going well, lest we become ungrateful and complacent. Probably the greatest test of character is to see how we handle the good times; to see whether or not we remember to praise Him when all is going as we think they should. Anyway, thanks again!
May each of you feel the Fathers mighty, compassionate love for you.
In Christ

I have a Dream

I have a dream

I dream that one day men would take their place as fathers. That they would love their children and wives more then booze and drugs.
That the women whose fathers committed suicide or are in jail or abandoned them, would find their value, their love in Heavenly Father. I dream that they would know Father not as their earthly father was but one who loves unconditionally, extravagantly.

I dream that one day children will grow up in a 2 parent home full of love. A safe place. That they would not be torn from their homes because of neglect and abuse. I dream that their eyes would be full of light to replace the hopelessness. Joy instead of sadness and loss.

That  men would take their place, be the head and not the tail be above and not beneath. I dream that they would be healed so they could bring healing to others. I dream, I pray that the hearts of the fathers would be turned back to the children so there will be blessing as Malachi says“Look, I am sending you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord arrives. His preaching will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of children to their fathers. Otherwise I will come and strike the land with a curse.” (Malachi 4:5, 6)

As I was commenting  (complaining might be a better word) to The Lord He gently reminded me that he loves all  people the same and that I need to do that as well. God is in the business of healing, restoring lives and breaking addictions! I cling to that! I say yes Lord I will be your hands and feet, I will honour all who you bring, I will love them with the love you have shown me. How could I do anything less.

My prayer today. Jesus help me love the unlovely, fight for the hopeless, have compassion for those who are down and out. Be your hands and feet Jesus. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear what you are doing in the heavenly realm.
First in the natural then in the spiritual . It has been a different spring and summer this year, now as I am picking blueberries, and veggies from the garden I thank you that the harvest of souls is coming, healing of hearts has begun. Healing of addictions, yes!

Thank you Jesus that we are not limited to what we can see. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 NLT) I thank you Jesus that you gave us every spiritual weapon as it says in your word.  We are  human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. And after you have become fully obedient, we will punish everyone who remains disobedient. (2 Corinthians 10:3-6 NLT)

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9 NLT) today I will walk as a daughter of the king, with my heart wide open. Holy Spirit come!
